I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea, in 2017, focusing on User Interest Modeling in Social Media for Personalized Services. Following my doctoral studies, I served as a Research Scientist at Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) and later as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Korea National University of Transportation (KNUT). During these roles, I contributed to diverse projects encompassing medical image segmentation/classification, fruit freshness classification, face mask detection, anomaly detection, and knowledge distillation. Beyond my academic and research pursuits, I have a passion for music. I've worked as a lounge pianist and have composed my own solo piano pieces, some of which are available on popular platforms such as iTunes and Spotify. Currently, my research endeavors extend into the realm of music generation for video, leveraging a dataset of music videos.
